with a touch of confusion
my imagination running
away with illusion
without conclusion

succumbing to seclusion
bitter and sweet
my utter defeat
begging at your feet

cumbersome defeat

i beg and plead
praying you do not succeed
what is it you need
done is the deed
you have been freed
yet I am chained
shackled and restrained
to this connection
as close to it as my own reflection
have you no redemption
least of all for me
silly you did set me free
and these shackles
daily reminders
ties that bind
seeing through blinders
rose colored glasses
for the masses
freedom is a prison all in it's own
safe inside a heart-shaped dome
brokenhearted but never alone
I am never alone
