As I said,I'm getting bored...as I haven't said...I'm working on Photoshop (again),but let's keep this between us untill some major victories,ok? whistle
Anyways,I found out how to make sparkle and other effects!Err...and today I've made my first sprite,which I'm proud of,so please do not mock,at least do it in a subtle way so I can pretend I didn't get it.
First the pic: the chara is called Marisela de Valaal,and she's a lazy mermaid princess from Valaal sitting on her shell-throne.
The sprite! (I've worked all day long at it,so pls constructive criticism)

Well the sprite looks good but don't show the lazyness part it is supposed to have. Arms don't feel like she relaxes on throne as if everything belonged to her... ready to jump from it. Feels like little peasant suddently became princess or maybe real princess unhappy being one..

Looks ok so far, except, like sirdec wrote, the arms.
The elbows should be not that close to the body so that the arms look more like being on arm rests. Then a bit of pixelling to show the outlines of those armrests and it should be ok.

Well,it's a shell,I haven't thought there would be arm rests...and yeah,she's kinda unhappy,because she's not very popular among her people....but hey,it's a good idea!Thanks,I could draw as arm rests some pearls...what do you think? ping

Hmm, yes better. Good idea with the pearls. What will be the final size of the sprite, as posted or smaller?
Hmm, another suggestion: How would it look like if you put the hands on the tights? With the hands a bit closer together than the ellbows might give her a more regal pose ........

Mwahahahaha,my first Photoshop pic is finally ready!It took me 2 days to draw the lines and other 2 to colour it...
It was meant to be a gift for a friend,so it took me more than the 4 days to come up with a good idea...

Thanks.I apreciate the fact that you've always supported me,although sometimes it might not seem that I apreciate this.And don't forget it's my first attempt in Photoshop this year,I was really afraid I'll blow it up...like last year.
Personally,I liked the most the stained glass full of cobweb,the candle and the reflections in the mirror.I still have to work at boys... XD

I liked it to. The mirror, the chair the detail, and the walls. All very nice. It is nice with the girl and boy, tells a story almost, but would like to see what it would look like with only the mirror, and no girl, or boy. I think that would look awesome too. Well imho even more awesome.
